God's Capacity Is Boundless
How much security we have as God's children
knowing that our father owns it all and is able to
pour out his blessings on us even sometimes without the need to
ask for anything.
There are no limits to God's goodness on the divine side, only on the human side.
God is absolutely unlimited in his ability and his resources. He is unlimited in his desire to pour out those resources upon us.
Understanding this fact is crucial in the times we live in where
there is much going on and many things that people
thought were unshakable, are being extremely shaken.
The bible teaches that God's goodness is stored up just waiting
to be poured out in our lives: " Oh how great is thy goodness which thou has laid up for them that fear thee"
He has abundant goodness stored up for those who honor
and reverence him before others.
For those who are not ashamed of him and his goodness.
That's just the way God is. He is literally more than we can grasp on our own, so he sent the Holy Spirit to reveal himself to us.
Throughout eternity we will still be comprehending him!
Isn't that wonderful? To live such a life even in those times when
what people once defined as normal has extremely changed.
God's original plan for mankind was to live a happy life without any pressure.
God provided food on the trees. Nothing had to be prepared. It was perfect.
They didn't have to cook anything. They didn't have to plant because the trees were already planted.
God didn't want them to have to work and sweat in order to live, as they had to do after they sinned and were forced to leave the garden.
He didn't want them to struggle to try to survive on their own. He wanted them to live by his blessing. He wanted them to live by his providence.
The word providence means " the act of providing provision, preparation, timely care, and active foresight accompanied by the procurement of what is necessary for future use."
It also means " skill, wisdom, or management."
All the way through the first covenant, God did everything he could do to help his people.
He provided the best possible life for them on this earth. He gave them laws and said:
"If you will do what I say.I will bless you and the curse will not come on you. If you will keep my commandments .you will have plenty. You will be blessed coming in and going out. Your storehouses will be full."
He made a way for the curse of sin upon their circumstances to be resisted through obeying his word.
Jesus came to reconnect us to the blessing by merely believing
in him, following him, taking the good news of the
gospel to all the world and be his witnesses until he comes.
